A Milwaukee man has been accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old in an abandoned house on North 27th Street, between Burleigh and Chambers.
Collins Jacobs, 38, reportedly attacked a 12-year-old girl on the morning of Dec. 1 in a house owned by the city and scheduled to be demolished.
A number of complaints had been made about the house, and due to a snafu, it was not demolished on time.
Jacobs has been charged with sexual assault with a person under 16, kidnapping and child enticement.
Jacobs is a registered sex offender, first registered in 1999 for the second-degree sexual assault of a child. He was also convicted of third-degree sexual assault in 2008.
