Public health warning issued about wraps sold at Kroger, Trader Joe's stores

A public health warning has been issued about wraps distributed by Caito Foods, LLC of Indianapolis has recalled about concerns of a Cyclospora contamination, according to the USDA. 

Beef, pork and poultry salad wraps made between July 15 and July 18 with a “Best By” date between July 18 and July 23 should be thrown away or returned to where you bought the item. 

The possibly contaminated products have the establishment numbers EST. 39985 or P-39985 next to the USDA mark of inspection. 

The wraps were distributed to stores nationwide, including Kroger, Trader Joe's, Gordon Food Services and Walgreens. Kroger is the parent company of local grocery Pick ‘n Save. 

The problem was discovered when Caito Foods was notified that the lettuce they used in the wraps from Fresh Express had been recalled.
