President Trump: 5 people killed in shooting at Milwaukee Molson Coors campus

WASHINGTON D.C. -- President Donald Trump said in a news conference Wednesday that five people were killed in a shooting at Milwaukee's Molson Coors campus.

"Our hearts break for them, their loved ones," the president said, describing the shooter as a "wicked" person.

"We send our condolences," the president continued. "We will be with them."

Dozens of squad cars and emergency responders were called to the area of N. 40th St. and W. State St. just after 2:00 p.m.

Mayor Barrett confirmed in a brief interview that multiple people had died in the shooting. Police are expected to provide an update to the media at 6:00 p.m.

Several nearby businesses, including Harley-Davidson, were placed on lockdown as a result of the shooting.
