Portillo’s, known for its menu of Chicago-style favorites, announced its newest location at 8705 W. Sura Lane in Greenfield will celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m.
This will be the second Portillo’s location in Wisconsin, following the opening of a Brookfield location in July 2016.
To celebrate its opening, Portillo’s is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Portillo’s founder Dick Portillo, CEO Keith Kinsey, Greenfield Mayor Michael J. Neitzke, and the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce.
“We are excited at the opportunity to bring a second Portillo's to our neighbors to the north," said Portillo's CEO Keith Kinsey. "It has been a pleasure working with the city of Greenfield to make this happen.”
The restaurant menu includes items such as Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, fresh salads, and Portillo’s special Chocolate Cake. Portillo's says customers at the Greenfield location can also enjoy the Badger Brat, a Usinger’s Fresh Bratwurst made with stone-ground German mustard and sauerkraut which is available only in Wisconsin.

Portillo's says the new 9,000 square foot restaurant features a décor inspired by the Prohibition-era, complete with vintage memorabilia. Portillo’s Greenfield offers seating for over 180 guests, with two drive-thru lanes and a seasonal outdoor patio that can accommodate an additional 52 guests. As with all Portillo’s locations, guests can seek out a concealed homage to founder Dick Portillo and his wife Sharon; a hidden sign that proclaims, “Dick Loves Sharon.”
