The pools at the YMCA at Pabst Farms will be closed after some members were found with cases of Cryptosporidium.
In response to the outbreak, YMCA says that they will be testing the pools with the help of the Public Health Division. YMCA will also chlorinate the pools and keep them closed until November 25.
YMCA previously closed and chlorinated the pools after the first outbreak on November 7 but after two more cases, they have decided to do the further testing.
Cryptosporidium is a protozoan that causes the illness Cryptosporidiosis. Symptoms of Cryptosporidiosis include diarrhea, abdominal cramping, nausea, vomiting, fever, headaches and loss of appetite.
