President Trump has talked up the promises of Foxconn and 13,000 jobs.

It's the most high profile manufacturing promise in Wisconsin. President Trump was here for the groundbreaking ceremony.

Politifact Wisconsin looks at a claim that suggests all those jobs should be here by now.

"In a tweet US Representative Gwen Moore said President Trump promised 13,000 new jobs to Wisconsin, and three years later, we're still waiting," said Erik Litke.

PolitiFact Wisconsin says a lot has changed with Foxconn's plans.

For starters Foxconn has downsized it's original proposal but has never backed off its $10 billion dollar promise.

"The agreement between Foxconn, and the state says that Foxconn would to the best of their ability, create 13,000 jobs, by the year, 2022," said Litke.

So that is still two years away and the company is building a manufacturing facility in Mount Pleasant.

But PolitiFact Wisconsin points out Foxconn did not hit it's jobs for 2018 and we are still waiting for 2019 jobs numbers.

"Moore is still off to say that these 13,000 jobs should have somehow been here by now," said Litke. She was right about Trump's promise, however."

PolitiFact Wisconsin rates this claim: Half True.
