RACINE — The Racine County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who approached a teen three times on her walk home from school.
Officers say the young teen was walking home from Burlington High School on Monday when a car approached her. The man inside the vehicle motioned for her to get in, but she refused.
After her refusal, the vehicle pulled away and circled back. The driver again motioned for her to get in his car. She refused to get in. This proceeded to happen once more before the teen finally arrived home.
When the girl got home, she informed her parents of what happened and they contacted the Racine County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities found a video from where the incident took place and believe the vehicle was a Chevrolet Spark or similar type of vehicle. The vehicle appeared to be either missing it's passenger rear side hubcap, or it is a spare tire.
The child described the man driving as a heavyset Caucasian male, in his 40s, with dark hair, a buzz cut, and a short "scruffy" beard. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
If you have any information regarding this incident or recognize this vehicle, please contact Racine County Sheriff's Office Investigator Scheraff at (262) 636-3190.
