MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police arrested a 20-year-old Milwaukee man for making terrorist threats to Riverside High School early Wednesday morning.

Police say the threats were made through social media, but did not go into specifics.

The Milwaukee Police Department says they take the threats seriously and are actively investigating.

Milwaukee Public Schools released this statement on the matter:

"This evening we became aware of a possible threat on social media and are working with MPD to monitor the situation to ensure all students and staff remain safe. The school day will continue as normal and MPD will keep a presence at the Riverside HS during the school day."

The investigation will be reviewed by the District Attorney's office.
