MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Police officers are trying to determine the circumstances behind a shooting that occurred Sunday night.
Officers responded to the 4700 block of North 49th Street for reports of a fight about 5:40 p.m. Sunday.
During the altercation, a 30-year-old woman battered a 13-year-old girl, according to police. Shots were subsequently fired, injuring the 30-year-old woman who was transported to a local hospital. She was arrested for child abuse, police said.
Investigators are looking for the suspect. If you have any information, contact police.
