PEWAUKEE — Pewaukee Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found during a welfare check Thursday evening.
Friday evening, they reported on Twitter they had a person of interest.

Police checked a home at 10:41 p.m. Thursday on Meadowcreek Drive on the east side of the village near Liberty Park.
Police Lt. Matt Carney says a call came in at 10:41 Thursday night. They are investigating a suspicious death. We’ve seen a Dept. of Justice car outside of a home. No other details surrounding the circumstances are being released yet. pic.twitter.com/DPQ2FsrzRu

Pewaukee police have not released any more information as they continue to investigate the death.
Pewaukee police are working with the Major Investigation Unit, along with assistance from the Village of Elm Grove Police Department, the Village of Hartland Police Department, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, the Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Wisconsin Crime Lab.
Anyone with information about the death is asked to call Waukesha County Communications at 262-446-5070.
