The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal accident that killed a pedestrian Saturday night on northbound I-43 at Hampton Avenue.
Around 11 p.m., authorities received reports of a pedestrian walking on the interstate and were notified shortly after that the pedestrian had been struck.
Sheriff's deputies observed that the victim had sustained massive injuries and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner was called to the scene.
All northbound lanes were blocked during the investigation and later reopened after four hours.
According to MCSO, two vehicles are being held and the drivers are cooperating with the investigation. A third driver is also being sought.
Two additional motorists were stopped and questioned during the MCSO's initial investigation due to them crossing through the investigation's perimeter. Both drivers were arrested on OWI charges.
