Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is preparing to move his family to Washington, D.C., according to POLITICO.
Ryan's family is looking to split time between Janesville and the Maryland suburbs of D.C.
"Now in the private sector, Paul and his family are temporarily renting a house in Maryland, and he’ll be spending time there as well as their family home in Janesville," a Ryan aide told POLITICO.
The move will locate the Ryan family closer to the sisters of Janna Ryan, the former speaker's wife.
Ryan avoided moving to Washington during his tenure in Congress, famously sleeping in his office on several occasions.
Since retiring as speaker, the former politician has been keeping busy. Ryan recently accepted a position on the board of directors for Fox Corporation, the parent company of Fox Television.
