PADDOCK LAKE, Wis. — Homeowners in Paddock Lake are dealing with a double-hit of flooding. Both Wednesday night and Thursday night, the water quickly filled the streets and Brian Galley's home.

The heavy rains kept Galley up the last two nights.

"Last night and the night before," said Galley. "Wednesday night it came fast and all at once."

Just as soon as he finished cleaning up from that flooding Thursday afternoon, he realized a second round of storms was on the way.

"I'm up all night watching radar watching the pumps on the basement," said Galley.

But there was nothing he could do.

"When it started flooding again you just let it go. You let the pumps keep pumping and let the water keep coming in," said Galley.

Sadly, Brian is a little bit of a pro when it comes to dealing with flooding

"In 2017 it happened. It happened in 2012," said Galley.

Now he just wants a dry weekend to relax.

"You keep having sleepless night when it rains," said Galley.

Galley said he has applied to FEMA for flood mitigation to have his home bought out. That was back in the 2017 floods. He is still waiting for an answer.
