The Ozaukee County Sheriff Department announced Tuesday that a woman who was pulled out of Lake Michigan Monday has died from her injuries.
The sheriff's office identified the woman as 32-year-old Paige Berndt of Milwaukee, who died Monday evening from her injuries.
The sheriff's office also identified the missing swimmer in Lake Michigan Monday as Ahmad Adl of Franklin. The effort has transitioned from a rescue search to a recovery search.
Berndt, Ald and three others went swimming at Harrington Beach State Park Monday. Warnings were issued about dangerous conditions on the lake due to weather.
The other three swimmers made it out of the water.
The search was suspended Monday eveningand resumed Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office says they are still searching for Ald.
