OSHKOSH, Wis — The Oshkosh Police Department provided breakfast for Oshkosh West students on their first day back at school after a shooting on Tuesday morning.
"We wanted to show our support to the students as they transition back to school today," a police department Facebook post said.
Various individuals and businesses helped donate the food and drinks. 4 Imprint, a business branding company, gave the students notebooks with the message "#wildcatstrong" printed on the front.
Just after 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, the school's resource officer was stabbed by a student with a sharp object. The SRO responded by shooting the student one time, the Oshkosh Police Chief, Dean Smith, said.
This came one day after there was a shooting threat at Waukesha South High School too.
