MILWAUKEE -- A woman was found dead at the scene of a fire on Milwaukee's north side Wednesday morning, according to police.
Lt. Patrick Pajot says a parking enforcement worker was flagged down by someone in the area for a garage fire. That worker called the fire department, who found a body inside the garage once the fire was extinguished.
Officers say they were called to the fire in the 3100 block of N. 15th St. just before 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The Medical Examiner's Office also confirmed the fatality on Twitter:
