Oktoberfest, Harvest Festival are among best things to do in Milwaukee this weekend

Oktoberfest — good. Fall harvest festival — better. Cute animals — best! Here are a few things to do around Milwaukee this weekend.

Good Boys!
Grab your furry friends and head down to the Summerfest grounds Saturday for the 6th Annual Fromm Petfest.Pets and their owners are welcome between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Check out the Doggie Dash speed trial, the Kitty City or Adoption Avenue, where you can adopt new family members from rescues and animal-related non-profits. There will even be an owner/pet look-alike contest!

Fun Fall Festivities!
Nearly 80,000 people will attend Cedarburg's Wine & Harvest Festival. It's free, family-oriented and has lots of live music. The festival is Saturday and Sunday. It goes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Moment With Africans
No Studios is hosting a storytelling event focused on stories from the African continent. It will feature an African food buffet and provide a great way to connect to the African culture.

Oktoberfest
Milwaukee Brewing's inaugural Oktoberfest is at its new location on 9th Street. A big beer tent, outdoor beer garden and the perfect mix of tradition and party will kick off on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and go through Sunday night.
