VILLAGE OF JACKSON -- A police officer fatally shot a man in the Village of Jackson Friday night.
Authorities were responding to a "call for help" at approximately 7 p.m.
At some point, the Jackson Police Department said an officer opened fire. The 57-year-old Washington County man died from his injuries.
No officers were injured in this incident.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are unknown at this time.
