The Milwaukee Police Department has opened an internal investigation after an off-duty officer was involved in an incident with a protester, according to police.
Police said that the incident occurred in the 1000 block of Old World 3rd Street at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
"The off-duty member and a family member were involved in an incident with protesters. This incident is under review. There is no further information at this time," the Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement.
