Oak Creek police arrested a student in the Oak Creek-Franklin school district for making threats to cause harm to people at their school.
The student did not take any actions on these threats and they were taken into custody without incident, police said in a news release.
Police did not specify which school the student made the threats at.
Police said they are preparing charges in Milwaukee County Children’s Court.
They also said there is no threat to the safety of students in the school district.
This was one of two school threats in southeast Wisconsin Thursday. Pleasant Prairie police reported a written threat discovered in the bathroom at LakeView Technology Academy Thursday afternoon.
Students were kept in their classrooms while police investigated, and were dismissed at the normal time.
Pleasant Prairie police said there is no imminent danger to students and staff.
Both threats came one day after a mass school shooting in Florida, that left 17 people dead.
