OAK CREEK — The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District Board has voted 4-3 to move all classes online in an effort to halt the spread of the coronavirus.
The City of Oak Creek's COVID-19 'Disease Burden' tallied 430 confirmed COVID-19 cases over the last two weeks. According to the phased reopening dashboard, virtual learning is required by all classes if a threshold of 351 is passed.
The Board acted to counteract the troubling trend at a meeting Thursday.
Thus, all students enrolled in the school district will begin their classes 100 percent virtually, starting Monday, Oct. 19.
