Why can't dogs and mail carriers just get along? Well, a mail carrier in Racine is breaking that stereotype in the most noble of ways.
Wisconsin mail carrier, Elisha, was on her route when she saw a small puppy that looked lost. Elisha invited the pup into her car and gave the Wisconsin Humane Society a call.
The puppy stayed at the Racine Campus for about a week before its original owners came to pick him up.
The humane society later learned the dogs name was Kirby, and that he accidentally slipped away from his pet-sitter.
Now Kirby and Elisha have a special connection that proves compassion has no boundaries.
