MILWAUKEE — There will not be a curfew in Milwaukee Tuesday night, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said.
“At this time, I am not ordering a curfew for tonight, Tuesday, June 2. However, if conditions warrant, I will, on short notice, institute a citywide curfew," Mayor Barrett said.
That means that there could be a curfew instituted without much warning Tuesday night.
Protesters peacefully demonstrated for several hours past curfew Monday night marching through Milwaukee, Shorewood, and Whitefish Bay.
“Last night we saw a notable reduction in illegal activity associated with public protests. I am optimistic that reduction will continue this evening," Mayor Barrett said.
