FOX POINT — A new bakery set to open in Fox Point wants most of their employees to be people who are living with special needs.
One of them is Arin Kornblet. We met him at the new Friendship Circle storefront, where 25 more workers with special needs will soon be hired.
The eight-thousand square foot facility is about to expand into a cafe, bakery and art studio.
"There may be someone with special needs who will greet you there may be someone behind the counter," said Rabbi Levi Stein, Friendship Circle director.
Arin's mother is grateful for this program focused on adults like her 50-year-old son.
"He makes challah," explained Ellie Kornblet, "They also make the cookies."
All denominations are welcome in the program.
They are $60,000 shy from their $360,000 goal. Click here to learn more.
They hope to raise that amount at their annual Walk4Friendship event August 25th you are welcome to attend. Click here to learn more.
