Neighbors prepared for snowfall in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- Neighbors in Sheboygan broke out their shovels before heading to work on Wednesday morning.

A light snowfall that fell from roughly 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. added to a dusting on the ground that accumulated overnight.

More snow could fall this afternoon.

"We'll probably shovel a couple times here today," said George Gill, who was shoveling the sidewalk outside of Brennan's on Michigan.

Gill added the snowfall is not unexpected. It is, after all, December in Wisconsin.

"It doesn't bother me one bit. I've lived here all my life, so I've had to get used to (the snow)," Gill said.

Elsewhere in Sheboygan, Felicia White was shoveling the sidewalk in front of her home.

"I love shoveling," she said. "I think it's fun."

White added the snow was light and easy to push around -- so far.

"It's not bad right now," White said. "But who knows? We could get some more."

Dennis Mellon, who works in food delivery, said the morning snow didn't impact the roads much.

"They're not too bad right now," Mellon said.

He added he enjoys the natural beauty of the snow, and always pauses for a moment during a winter snowfall to soak it all in.

"I'm originally from Souther California, so seeing snowfall is always amazing to me," Mellon said.
