LOMIRA, Wis. -- A tornado touched down near Lomira, Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

A trained weather spotter confirmed the tornado, the NWS said. It was seen seven miles south of Fond du Lac moving east at 50 miles per hour.
Homeowners will likely be spending the next couple weeks cleaning up the damage. There’s about a mile stretch where trees are down just about everywhere you look.
