Man killed after possible tavern argument identified

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide Thursday night in the 2500 block of West Hopkins.

LZ Jolly Jr., 42, suffered a fatal gunshot wound about 11:20 p.m. Lifesaving efforts were attempted, but Jolly was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances, but they said the incident may have stemmed from an argument inside of a tavern.
