CALEDONIA — More than a pound of marijuana was found in the search of a vehicle after a traffic stop in the Village of Caledonia late Monday afternoon, according to the Racine County Sheriff's Department.
Jose Partida was stopped for an equipment violation at County Highway G and East Frontage Road. Officers smelled a strong marijuana odor coming from his car and asked him to step out of the vehicle. The 20-year-old refused and had to be physically removed.
The search of the vehicle came up with a vacuum-sealed bag of marijuana buds weighing 460.2 grams.
Partida is being held at the Racine County Jail on $25,300 bail for one count obstruction of justice and one count of possession of THC with intent to deliver.
