MILWAUKEE -- In its inaugural weekend, The Hop transported thousands of Milwaukee citizens around the city.
The newest addition to Milwaukee's public transportation gave a total of 16,409 rides from Friday, Nov. 2, through Sunday, Nov 4. The streetcar traveled 856 miles, using all five vehicles in The Hop's fleet.
All rides on The Hop are free for the first year of operation and it can be accessed Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. - 12 a.m., Saturday 7 a.m. - 12 a.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. Vehicles will arrive every 15 minutes, regarding any heavy traffic.
