WEST ALLIS -- As many as 2,000 people will be able to receive free dental care in West Allis this weekend thanks to the Wisconsin Dental Association and WDA Foundation's "Mission of Mercy."
Patients who can't afford dental care or who are otherwise unable to visit a dental office will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis at the Wisconsin State Fair Exposition Center starting at 5:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
More than 1,300 volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, assistants, dental students, and community helpers from nearly 200 communities will participate in the event.
There is no eligibility or proof of income required for care. Patients will be served until about 5:00 p.m. both days.
