MILWAUKEE -- More authentic food variety is on the way for Milwaukee as the city's first Korean fried chicken wing bar will open late November.

The fried chicken wing bar, Merge, will move into the former Yokohama space at 1932 E. Kenilworth Pl according to OnMilwaukee.

The owners, Lane Kim, Choonghoon Lee, Jongsoo Kim and Kanpai Izakaya are forecasting a grand opening on Nov. 27.

Lane and Choonghoon are owners of  Char'd, a restaurant focused on modern Korean cuisine, but despite the connection, Merge will focus on globally inspired food like tacos, burgers, Korean chicken wings and more.

The restaurant will also offer a variety of cocktails and craft beers.

Merge will serve dinner Tuesday through Friday. It will also serve lunch on Saturday and Sunday with a menu suited for brunch lovers.

Tentative hours for the restaurant are 4 p.m. to midnight Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
