The Milwaukee Public Museum will be offering a special viewing opportunity for those interested in seeing the total lunar eclipse Jan. 20.
On Sunday night the museum will allow stargazers to view the event in the Dome Theater as the Moon aligns with the Sun and Earth to create what many call a 'Blood Moon.' This will also be a 'supermoon' as the Moon will be within 90% of its closest approach to Earth on its orbit.
This is the first 'Blood Moon' since September 2015 and will be the last 'Super Blood Moon' to occur until Feb.11-12, 2036.
The event will begin at 9 p.m. with the eclipse scheduled for 9:33 p.m. The viewing is also free to attend.
