A 36-year-old woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot by a man she knew Sunday morning.
The incident occurred about 5:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of West Capitol Drive when a 39-year-old man fired shots at the woman.
Milwaukee police arrested the man on the scene and recovered his firearm.
The circumstances that led to the shooting are still under investigation.
