MILWAUKEE -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of three people in a southwest side neighborhood Sunday evening.

A Milwaukee Police SWAT unit was dispatched to the 3300 block of South 92nd Street at about 5:45 p.m. after hearing reports of a possible shooting in an apartment building and an active shooter still at large.

Police say the suspected shooter gave up without a fight.

The victims -- a female in her 30s, a male in his 40s and another male in his 50s -- were all pronounced dead at the scene.

The crime scene spanned two apartments and a hallway, police said.

Police said a rifle and a handgun were recovered from the scene, and that the suspect and victims all lived together.

There was no threat to neighbors, police said.

Neighbors say surrounding streets were blocked off in the area and officers were spotted in position with guns drawn.

Neighbors in the area were also been told not to leave their homes.
