Sources tell TODAY'S TMJ4 that an officer was been shot and killed near 12th and Dakota Wednesday morning on Milwaukee's south side.
Ald. Tony Zielinski says the officer was shot while serving a search warrant.

Froedtert Hospital has confirmed an officer has been brought in for a gunshot wound.

A source tells us that the victim is a tactical unit officer in his 30s.
This is the third MPD officer killed in the line of duty in eight months.
