Milwaukee Police: Lost 3-year-old boy found overnight now being reunited with family

UPDATE -- 10:20 a.m.

The lost 3-year-old Milwaukee boy who was found overnight near 12th and Oklahoma is safe, in good health, and is being reunited with his family, police say.
 
Milwaukee police say their investigation in this matter is ongoing and no other information will be released today.

Police are thanking the public for their assistance in identifying this child. Police say they received leads that resulted in the identification of the child and his mother. 

ORIGINAL STORY -- 7 a.m.:

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a lost child --  and finding his family.

Police say the child was found Wednesday, around 2:05 a.m. in the 3100 block of S. 12th Street.

The child was found by several citizens who notified police.  

The child is safe and unharmed -- and police are attempting to reunite him with his family.

The child is described by police as:

  • Black/Male
  • Approximately 3 Years of Age
  • 3’00” Tall
  • 50 Pounds
  • Short black hair
  • Wearing an Orange t-shirt
  • Gray, knee length shorts with a yellow stripe on the side
