The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating an abduction that occurred near 24th and Auer on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities responded to the 2400 block of W. Auer Avenue about 2:40 p.m. for reports of a woman forced into a car by unknown suspects, according to police.
The suspects were armed with a gun and fired shots, according to police.
The 29-year-old woman was able to escape from the car but was injured while doing so and transported to a local hospital.
