Milwaukee Police seeking East Side armed robbery suspect

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery Thursday.

The suspect approached a man in the 1000 block of E. North Avenue, displayed a rifle and demanded money. The victim grabbed the firearm, and a struggle ensued.

The suspect eventually let go of the firearm and fled toward North Humboldt Boulevard and North Weil Street without obtaining anything.

He is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet. 8 inches and 220 pounds. Police say he has silver teeth and was last seen wearing a black knit hat, black winter coat with a hood, black shirt, sweatpants and white gloves.
