The Milwaukee Police Department is issuing a warning after a recent increase in paintball shootings across the city.

According to a news release, MPD has responded to dozens of calls where individuals have been shooting paintballs at citizens. The incidents have taken place all across the city - on Milwaukee's West Side, South Side, North Side and Northwest Side.

Police say it is believed the shootings have likely stemmed from postings on social media. At this time, there have not been any reports of serious injuries in Milwaukee. There are multiple suspects and vehicles involved in these incidents.

The paintball shootings are not just a problem in Milwaukee. Detroit, Charlotte and other cities across the country have also faced issues with paintball attacks recently.
