MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police made several arrests overnight after a shooting led to an overnight police chase and crash.

Milwaukee police say around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, they were patrolling in the area of 14th and Atkinson when they saw someone fire gunshots at another person.

The suspect fled on foot to a nearby waiting car. The officers located the car and initiated a vehicle pursuit.

The vehicle pursuit traveled through several north side neighborhoods before crashing in the area of 41st and Sheridan.

Four people fled from the car on foot -- three of them were captured after a short foot pursuit.

Later, police were called to a non-fatal shooting located in the same area.

Police found a man with a very serious gunshot wound. He was treated on the scene and conveyed to a local hospital.

Milwaukee police say a person of interest was appended from the police chase and their investigation is on-going.
