Milwaukee is on display in a new collection of postcards.
The new postcards were unveiled Sunday at Ayzha Fine Arts in Grand Avenue Mall. Some city leaders, including Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, were there for the event.
Richard Allen, the local artist and photographer who created them says he wanted to showcase the old architecture, new beauty and many facets of the beautiful city.
“I wanted to walk through the city as a tourist again and take pictures,” Allen said. “What I found out is that from the mood of the city.”
Allen plans to create more postcards capturing different neighborhoods. Large, framed prints of them will also be available soon.
