Wednesday marks 15 years since 7-year old Alexis Patterson went missing.
Patterson was making the short walk from her home to Hi-Mount School, at 49th and Garfield, when she disappeared.
On Wednesday, Sheriff David Clarke and other members of the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office put up a wreath outside of the school.
The ceremony was followed by a prayer.
"Again, we gather on this day," said Rev. John McVicker, Sr., Pastor of Christ the King Baptist Church. "We stand today in memory of Alexis."
While she was just a young girl when she disappeared, Patterson would now be 22-years old.
This past summer, authorities received a tip from an Ohio man that his ex-wife might be Alexis Patterson. However, aDNA test administered to that woman in Ohio confirmed she was not Patterson.
The Sheriff's Office continues to offer a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to her return.
"This is just another day that I keep pushing, keep working hard, to bring my daughter home," said Ayanna Patterson, Alexis Patterson's Mother.
"I don't have a doubt in my mind that my daughter's coming home," she said.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 800-843-5678 or the Milwaukee Police Department at (414) 935-7401.
