MILWAUKEE — Firefighters, family and friends gathered Saturday to remember Milwaukee firefighter Darrin Jones.
He was laid to rest following a visitation service at New Testament Church of Milwaukee.
Fellow firefighters remember Jones's humor, respect and grace.
"He was always happy, he was always go lucky. He always brightened up the room and we're trying to carry on his spirit. Right now, today, it's extremely tough. Tomorrow we move forward," Assistant Chief David Votsis said.
Jones passed away in his sleep last Saturday.
He was with the department since 1991.
