Milwaukee fire crews battle 2-alarm house fire on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee fire crews battled a 2-alarm fire that broke out early Monday morning on Milwaukee’s north side.

The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. at a home located near the intersection of 11th and Clarke.

Fire officials say the fire started at one home – and then spread to a neighboring home.

Major damage was reported inside the home where the fire started. The damage is so bad -- fire officials were not able to go inside. The roof of the home also nearly collapsed.

Neighbors tell TODAY’S TMJ4 one man was inside the home when the fire broke out. They say he was working to refurbish the property and was able to make it out of the home safely.

Right now, no injuries have been reported in this incident.
