A Milwaukee sheriff's deputy was injured after being hit while responding to a crash on Highway 175 southbound at the Wells Street exit.
According to a Milwaukee Fire Department official, the sheriff was assisting in a crash where a driver hit a snow embankment. While responding, a compact SUV passing the scene struck the deputy in the right emergency lane and rolled over.
The two people in the SUV were transported to the hospital.
The deputy sustained a moderate arm injury.
