MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Zoo will host its annual "Behind the Scenes Weekend" March 9-10.
During this weekend, visitors can see the underground enclosures where warm-weather animals hide during the cold months, learn how to prepare the food for smaller zoo animals and also get an exclusive look at the Lake Wisconsin Exhibit in the Aquatic & Reptile Center.
The tour also includes:
- Sensory Safari, which gives you the opportunity to feel what it is like to actually touch an animal.
- Elk Barn, where you will learn more about the North American mammals.
- Giraffes, where you will learn all about the world's tallest animals.
The tour will be part of the general zoo admission and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. More information can be found here.
