MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Zoo elephants have a new home at the zoo.

According to our partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal, the new elephant exhibit, part of an overhaul of the zoo's Adventure Africa section, will open to the public Saturday.

The new exhibit offers the zoo's elephants, Ruth and Brittany, five times more space than in their previous enclosure. It may also allow them to bring in more friends for those two.

As the zoo continues its capital campaign and improves the Adventure Africa section, which is one of the oldest parts of the zoo, the rhinoceros and hippopotamus exhibits will also be upgraded.
