MILWAUKEE -- We now know the fate of the Milwaukee County Supervisor arrested for drunk driving.
Milwaukee County Board Supervisor Marcelia Nicholson plead no contest to driving with an excessive blood alcohol level.
Her lawyer Michael Maistelman tells TODAY'S TMJ4 he entered the plea on her behalf, as part of a plea deal to get her OWI and failure to control motor vehicle charges dropped.
The 30-year-old vice-chair of the Milaukee county Board of Supervisors crashed her car into the median on I-43 South near National Avenue in July.
According to reports, Nicholson admitted to having one drink. Her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
Her lawyer says she is embarrassed and sorry for what happened, "She takes full responsibility for her actions no excuses and again she's very grateful that it didn't turn out worse the incident," said Maistelman.
Nicholson will pay a $794 fine and her lawyer says she has proactively entered alcohol assessment and treatment.
She does plan to continue to work as a county supervisor.
