MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office needs help finding a suspect who reportedly fired shots Mondayon Highway 145 at 76th Street.
The suspect is a black male and is about 35 years old. He weighs about 160 pounds, and has a short haircut and beard described as “scruffy” or “patchy.”
The suspect was traveling with a black female with braided hair, according to police. The suspect was observed driving a blue and purple 2005-2006 Chevrolet Impala or Malibu with no license plate. The car was missing a driver’s side hub cap and had a broken or missing Chevrolet emblem on the vehicle’s trunk.
The victim reported the shooting when he arrived at his job in Washington County, police said. A deputy met the victim at his job and saw two bullet holes in the passenger side of the victim's vehicle.
The victim said he was driving northbound on Highway 145 in the center lane, when a two-toned Chevrolet Impala or Malibu cut him off and forced him into the right distress lane. The victim said he sped up and got into the middle lane, where he and the suspect began to argue out of the windows of their vehicles. The victim also said he moved over to let the other vehicle pass and heard two gunshots.
The incident closed the northbound lanes of Highway 145 at 76th Street on Monday and caused traffic to back up for miles.
