The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is looking to hire someone as the new Deputy Sheriff.
"The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is encouraging members of the community, including residents from communities of color, to apply for the position," said the sheriff's office in a press release.
The Deputy Sheriff will be responsible for tasks related to the protection of life, limb and property, including crime prevention and investigation and forceful apprehension of criminal suspects.
Candidates should be at least 21-years-old, have a high school diploma, Wisconsin GED, Associate degree or higher or attain a minimum of 60 college-level credits from an accredited college/university within five years of employment. Candidates should also be able to physically perform the duties of a Deputy Sheriff, as well as successfully complete a background check.
Qualified applicants will be invited to take a Deputy Sheriff written exam on either Dec. 13 or Dec. 17.
